Associated with the rhetoric and especially with the elocutio, the concept of concinnitas when it reaches Cicero picks up a meaning tradition much wider than what is kept then, above all, in the writers who are fond of archaisms of the 2nd. century b. C. The origin of the meaning stems from the culinary language, from wich it goes to other fields (compositio, elocutio, distributional class, transferences).
