Abstract

The narrative centered around the character of Charite forms a single block in Apuleius’ work. In the present paper the author’s purpose is to examine the second part of this narrative. Both the adventures of the ass and the story of Charite's revenge take up again the motifs used in the previous narration, thus completing the significance of the facts.
