Paradigma y entimema: el ejemplo histórico en los discursos deliberativos de Tucídides

The παραδείγματα in the Thucydidean speeches are based on very different temporal references: from the glorious time of the Persian Wars until contemporary events. From the point of view of the internal functioning of the παράδειγμα, the temporal references are not as significant as the function of these examples in the speech, operating sometimes as a part of a line of argument more complex: the Enthymeme.
