In this study we will comment on the Macrobian passage of the Commentarii in somnium Scipionis 1 6,63, which titles the work, due to the author's originality for his usage of the term moneta with the meaning of 'womb' o 'uterus', the only case registered in the entire latin sphere of influence. Macrobius uses the aboye word only once and with that particular meaning, in his literary work.
