El epíteto en Apolonio de Rodas: tradición e innovación

Apollonius Rhodius’ treatment of the epithet follows models from Homeric and other hexametric poetry. This paper shows that Apollonius sometimes is faithful to his models, but other times modifies them. These variations refer to the position of the epithets within the verse, the change of case, the creation of new formulae, etc. Besides, the new formulae are not always recurrent. It is important too the attribution of the old epithets to new characters, sometimes with a new meaning.
