Referring to the recent work of Kl. Strunk, this article intends to reconstruct in PIE an infixed present *g̑ḗn-n-ə̯1-ti, med. *g̑én-n-ə̯1-toi, whose ablaut schema is strictly identical with the corresponding acrostatic root aorist *g̑ḗnə̯1-t, med. *g̑énə̯1-to.
