A note on the eclecticism of Hippocrates

The article examines some suggested influences on Hippocrates in the work of Alcmeon and Diogenes, assesses their importance and concludes that Hippocrates attempted to reconciled what he found useful in their theories with mainly empirical approach to anatomy and medicine.
