Abstract

The omission of fifteen verses at the end of chapter 36 and the postposition of chapter 37 after 39 in Ezekiel papyrus 967 is a phenomenon that has been interpreted in many different ways. This paper tries to collect the main theories about it and include the enlargement of paleographical reasons. Some features of the omitted text enlighten the history of the composition of this part of the book of Ezekiel still in the dark. Both the text itself and the manuscript tradition do not answer the questions raised from 967, but literary or ideological reasons must be submitted to paleographical possibilities.
