Los Días de Hesíodo: estructura formal y análisis de contenido

The formal analysis of Hesiod’s Days —i.e., the last part of the Works and Days— takes the author of this paper to the conclusion that their apparent heterogeneity is due to the use of various structural procedures that paradoxically guide to reinforce their unity. The author agrees with the traditional theory that eliminates the lines 810-21, but defends, instead, the authenticity of the end of the poem. As for the ideas defended, in opposition with the thesis of those who find contradiction between the purpose of the Days and that of the Works, the author defends the rationality of the beliefs underlying in this piece and its compatibility with the spirit of the Works .
