Cyathus, una breve nota etimológica

The Spanish word «chato» meaning ‘a cup of wine’ is thought to stem from later Latin cyathus. If this proves to be right, the hypothesis claiming for a metaphorical use of plattus would be unnecessary. Some evidence is given to support this view.
