Nota crítica a Antiq. IV 118 de Flavio Josefo

In this text the author proposes to read κεκινημένος instead of νενικημένος printed by B. Niese. Although the former reading is a lectio facilior it must be selected because, a) is a terminus technicus of the Hellenic tradition on mantic inspiration; b) Josephus is inserted in this tradition. The proposed reading fits very well with Josephus’ eclectic ideas on inspiration.
