Heráclito sobre la muerte: ἐθέλειν μόρον ἔχειν

Heraclitus’ fragments about death are understood in this paper not as an expression of the philosopher’s beliefs on afterlife, but as mere descriptions of phenomena. The author thinks that fragments 27, 25, 20, 21, 29, 24, 63, 98, 62, and 96 (DK) form a coherent whole whose main or only subject is the assumption of death (so that their meaning is related to that of Herodotus’ story of Croesus). Especial attention is paid to the wording of the fragments, critical difficulties being solved. Other fragments are also taken into account.
