Juridical words, preverb špí, Attic OratorsAbstract
This paper studies some juridical words, provided with the preverb špí, that appear in the Attic Orators’ texts in the fourth century B.C. This analysis shows that not only the preverb, but also the context, the opposition between the active and middle, and the different classes of people which form the subject of some verbs influence the meaning. Moreover it is examined if these words are exclusively used as juridical technical terms or not.
