The presence of the infinitive εσπραΤεν in a Rhodian inscription causes difficulties as far as its comparison with other forms of the same origin, always making use of ˂T˃. The author of this paper considers that ˂T˃ could be an approximative grapheme denoting /tg/. This assumption implies that /tg/ would have existed in Rhodian at least as far back as the fifth century B.C. In addition, the forms Δευς and τοζ(ε) (also Rhodian) may support the existence of /dz/ during the same period.
