Abstract

Satyrus —second half of 3rd century B. C.— is the author of the longest biography of the Hellenistic period: the Life of Euripides, written as a dialogue and transmitted by P. Oxy. 1176. The authoress of this paper studies the language of this work from the linguistic point of view, that is phonetics, morphology, syntax and lexicon. This research is a new contribution to the knowledge of the postclassical Greek.
